Carl Miller Park will temporarily close beginning Monday, November 9, as crews begin removing the guard shack at the park entrance. This work will improve access to the park by making it easier for vehicles, particularly buses and other larger vehicles, to enter and exit.

The entire park will remain closed until work is complete. Carl Miller Park will reopen on Saturday, November 14. Once the park reopens, visitors may experience temporary changes to traffic flow near the entrance as construction continues. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve access to Carl Miller Park.

Updates will be shared as the project progresses.

Crews will begin exercising water valves on the west side of town over the next three to four weeks to ensure they are working properly. No road closures are expected.

The walking path at Carl Miller Park will be impacted by the City of Newnan’s LINC expansion. Please use caution, follow posted signs and thank you for your patience during this work.

Georgia has issued a Level 1 Drought Response. Newnan Utilities is continuing to monitor conditions and encourages customers to use water wisely.

Simple steps like fixing leaks, turning off the tap when not in use, and only watering when needed can make a difference.
